Hon. Younquoi Gives Real Meaning to Legislative "Agricultural Break"/VideoIn spite of his tight schedule nationally and internationally, Hon. Younquoi's desire to carry out mechanized farming at his Dian Farm in Gipo Township remains unabated. Recently on his farm, he took part in the thrashing of rice following last year harvest. He runs a 200-acre farm on which he cultivates palm, rubber, cocoa, rice, among others. He also carries on animal husbandry and fisheries. This is his way of helping to alleviate hunger and enhance community involvement.

Hon. Younquoi visits Zahn ChiefdomOn Friday, March 18, 2016, Hon. Younquoi began a tour of Zahn Chiefdom with a stop-over at Yekeyee, where he slept and addressed the residents the next day. The elders, women and youths were on hand to receive their leader and give him their hearts' desires.In response, Hon. Younquoi assured them of his preparedness to always stand by them in improving their lots. Like in all places he pays similar visits, he made some contributions towards on-going development at the school and in the community. His team used the occasion to distribute 2016 Calendars and Copy books.

Legislature Hosts President Sirleaf at the Capitol.On Monday, January 25, 2016, the President of Liberia presented her Annual Report for 2015 to the Liberia People, through their direct Representatives, in line with the Constitution. In furtherance of this, the Legislature assembled on the grounds of the capitol building, particularly in the joint assembly hall of the capitol building. Members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Cabinet, well wishers and others invitees were available to witness the President perform this sacred National duty.

Hon. Younquoi Engages in Recreation with the Youth of Cocopa

Youths and residents of Camp 1 in Cocopa, on Saturday, Jamuary 23, 2016, launched a week-long sports tournament in the area. Sports included in the league are football and kickball. Hon. Younquoi was invited to take the kick-off. In his remarks, he admonished the youth to be tolerant of each other as the exercise was only for the purpose of fellowship and not for any laurels. He concluded by informing them that every possibility was been explored to bring about an end to the hardship on the farm. He further admonished them to be mindful of Politicians who are currently criss-crossing the district to distract them from remaining on the right side of history.

More on Hon. Younquoi Visit to KarnweeThe program in Karnwee was climaxed with the ground breaking ceremony of the Youth Center. In his groundbreaking message he hoped the center would be a learning place for the youth. For instance, he indicated to the audience that he envisages the center to be for the learning of health-related issues like basic hygiene, body physiology and Reproductive Health, family planning, etc. to be prioritized. He also expects sports and its attendant lesson of tolerance and respect for each other to be promoted there. Finally, he expects the center to be the center of excellence where the youth would have access to internet and other medium of gathering latest information, such as a pre-recording of legislative debates, etc.

Development Nightmare in District # 8Friday, June 26, 2015, was a memorable time in the life of travelers passing through the Township of Gipo connecting to Sanniquellue-Ganta High Way when the bridge that once connected them was finally declared out-of-use by authorities of the township, including Hon. Younquoi. Having consulted the County development team for weeks about the condition of the bridge, the Honorable finally decided to order the closure of the road to motorist while the county government put plans in place for rehabilitation. In view if this decision, and given that the residents and Hon. Younquoi feared complete blockage, even to pedestrians, they decide to savage whatever was left of the old log bridge to facilitate movement of motorbikes and those on foot.
