Nimba kicks off County League With Goalless Draw

The final stage of the 2015 National County League has commenced in Monrovia Eight teams/counties are involved in the quarter finals of the Football component On Sunday, Bong county threw out Maryland in football, while Nimba girls threw out Bong girls in kickball.

Today, Jan. 5, 2015, Nimba county and Grang Bassa played to a draw today following ninety minutes of play. The extra thirty minutes of play, which normally follows such a draw, could not be played due to poor visibility at the ATS.

On the field to cheer Nimba county to victory were thousands of Nimbaians, including Senators PYJ & Grupee and Representatives Tingban and Younquoi. Superintendent Zuagele; MD Harrison Karnwea; Minister Norkeh, Businessman Floyd Tomah; Dr. Slawon; former Superintendent Edith Gongloe-Weh, among others, were also in attendance.
