Oldman Joseph Nya Gbanah Finally Laid to Rest

On Saturday, January 30, 2016, Oldman Joseph N. Gbanah, the founder of Gbannah Development Organization, who dies three weeks ago, was laid to rest in Gompa City, Nimba County. His funeral service was held in the Miller McAlester Methodist Church on the Methodist Compound. Present at the service were his children( Alice Gbanah-Waquoi, Josephine Gbanah-Neibo) of the United States; Lovester Gbanah-Davids, Sarah Gbanah, Stephen Gbanah, among others, of Liberia. Rev. Priscilla Jaiah, Superintendent of the Ganta Methodist Mission, was among the clergy who officiated the funeral.

Also available to give the Oldman a befitting burial was Hon. Younquoi, a nephew of the venerable development innovator. His wife, Mrs. Annie Younquoi could not stay away due to the bond of closelnes the family had with the Oldman. On the other hand, the President of the Gbannah Development Organization, Mr. Leelamen Zarwolo, and another Nephew, Mr. Paye Daniels, were present to give their last respect.

On March 15, 2015, the dedication of the school annex constructed by Hon. Younquoi and the residents of Gbahn Town, Gbannah Chiefdom, took place.
