Hon. Younquoi Participates in Public Hearing on the ETON LOAN DEAL

On Monday, June 4, 2018, the Joint Committee of the Legislature, comprising members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, held a Public Hearing on the, much talk about, $536 Million Dollars Eton Loan. As a member of the Judiciary Committee of the House, I participated in the hearing.

Those who participated in the hearing from the angle of the Executive Branch included Public Works Minister Mobutu Vlah Nyenpan; Deputy Minister for Fiscal Affairs, Samira Wolokolie and Justice Minister Cllr. Frank Musah Dean. The three men provided technical perspective of the loan and encouraged the Legislature to rectify it for the benefit of the people, especially those living in the parts of the country that will be affected by the roads ; mini stadia and a community college.
Members of the civil society and the academic, including Dr. Lester Tennis, also spoke positively of the loan and called for the speedy passage of the act rectifying the loan. Following the hearing, the committee recommended the passage of the Loan Act and was passed by the House. It is now with the Senate for concurrence.


Hon. Younquoi's Statement at Gbahn School Dedication

On March 15, 2015, the dedication of the school annex constructed by Hon. Younquoi and the residents of Gbahn Town, Gbannah Chiefdom, took place.
