The else-while Flumpa Public School (FPS) in District Eight, Gbannah Chiefdom, which is now called Flumpa Semi-High School, had her academic year end program on Monday, July 24, 2019, on the school’s campus at Flumpa Headquarters. The Guest Speaker of the day was a Senior Technician at the World Health Organization(WHO) in Liberia, Mr. Roland Tuopeliyi, who thrilled the audience with an inspiring motivational message themed around “the need to send children to school.” A son of the Chiefdom himself, Guest Speaker Tuopeliyili pledged to work with the school and other stakeholders to lift it’s standard. On my part, I applauded the Principal, staff and PTA of the institution to for their resilience in maintaining the Semi-High School status of the despite numerous challenges. I reiterated my preparedness to ensure that all the in-service teachers that are being trained by tax payer’s money return to the district to help elevated earmarked schools to full high school standard. CEO Dologbay expressed similar sentiments as he stated his readiness to send some more teachers to the university for higher training once the current batch returns.
