Hon. Younquoi Visits His Rice Field

The final days of my rather fruitful  "Independence Break" in my District were climaxed with a tour of my farm in Dian Town,  Gipo Township, few hours to my departure on July 25, 2019 for the main celebration with the family in Monrovia.

In addition to inspecting the rice field, which produces rice every 90 days, I also took a site visitation tour of the fields that have been prepared for the transplanting of additional Palm,  Cocoa and Rubber seedlings. Rice production and animal husbandry constitute an integral part of the activities at the farm as "empty bags cannot stand", according to our Liberian parlance.

By the grace of God,  this year's Agriculture Break will be an extremely PRODUCTIVE ONE for me and the entire District judging from the high level of  involment of residents in individual and communion farming this planting season. From my tour of the county,  Gipo has the biggest COMMUNIAL FARM this year. Even the school in the country,  Gipo Public School stands out tall as having the biggest school farm.  This,  according to many observers,  is LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE.
